Introduction Three MARA members have interviewed two witnesses who have
had experiences of two separate ghostly entities. The witnesses, who are a mother and daughter, live in a house
in the New Brighton area of Wirral, North West England. The mother stated that she used a Ojai board when she was
younger and believes this may be the reason for the entities appearance.
There are no known major structural changes to the house and the witnesses have
not experienced any strong pungent smells which are common in this type of case. Paralysis while in bed The mother has stated that one entity who she senses to be
a black male, hovers over her while she is in bed and makes it impossible for
her to move. These incidents are
frequent, they occur between 11:30 pm and 3:00 am and last for about 45 minutes.
Her husband sleeps beside her, but she is unable to let her husband know
when the incident takes place because she feels pinned down to the bed. Apparition of an old man Both the mother and daughter have seen an apparition of an
old man at different times in the house. The
mother believes it is someone who died in the house.
The apparition suddenly appears by floating over them and its arrival is
unannounced but very frightening. It
disappears before them while they are watching it.
This apparition’s last visit was on 13th June 2001. Other Anomalies in the house The mother has a grandson aged 2 years old. On one occasion, he was playing in the corner of the lounge, when he suddenly stopped playing and started waving at the corner of the room for no apparent reason. The witnesses have heard grating noises that they can’t account for. The house security alarm had to be taken out because it kept going off in the middle of the night. On the day that the MARA members interviewed the witnesses
the weather was very hot, but the bedroom where the black male entity appears
felt very cool, although no temperature readings were taken at the time. Ongoing status MARA have advised the witnesses to set up a video camera connected to a video recorder in the corner of the bedroom in the hope of catching one of the incidents to see if there is any evidence which can be captured through audio or video. We have asked the witnesses to contact us if anything is recorded.  |
