MARA, in association with Janette Flemming from Halton Library Services, ran a week of lectures and activities on a paranormal theme with special emphasis on paranormal investigation and research conducted in the Halton area (Runcorn/Widnes).

Each night MARA members gave presentations on different aspects of the paranormal and gave the public an opportunity to take part in Dowsing and ESP experiments.

MARA members taking part were: Mike Jaega, Mark Rosney, John Hall, Fiona Campbell, Tony Eccles, Pete Tiernan with support from Robert Bethell, Linda Evans & Nikki Limb.

The event was a great success and MARA have been invited back to repeat the event early next year.

The Mind Monsters Conference

Fortean TV presenter Father Lionel Fanthorpe (centre) his wife Patricia and MARA member Mark Rosney (right) at the Mind Monsters Paranormal Conference which took place on the 20th July 2002 at Liverpool Central Library.  Mark gave a talk on Electronic Voice Phenomena and Lionel gave two talks on paranormal subjects.   MARA would like to thank Jessica Bockler (Conference Organiser) and Liverpool City Libraries for the opportunity for MARA to give a talk and present a poster stand at the conference.
